It's Chanukah! Time to celebrate!

Yes, we are in a lockdown, and safety is number one!

Here is how it can be done safely, following the City lockdown protocols.

Cars will be directed to park forming a large circle around the parking lot. There will be a stage set up in the centre where the Menorah lighting ceremony and fire show will take place.

Due to the currant lockdown, all participants must stay in their cars at all times. Each car will receive a party bag with pre-packaged doughnuts, latkes and Chanukah goodies to participate with from your cars! We ask that you arrive early to give enough time for all cars to park, so we can start on time. Following the event, volunteers will direct cars out in an orderly fashion to avid any traffic collisions. Please follow all instructions from our traffic conductors and volunteers.

By registering you agree to follow all of the above.

Wondering how you can celebrate Chanukah with your family this year? Sign up for the Menorah car parade! It’ll be a fun a safe way to celebrate Chanukah with the community.

Each car will receive a Menorah to place safely on the top of their car for the duration of the parade. The Menorah is approximately 12” x 18’’ in, made of light PVC pipes and it will be tied down with ratchets.

You can choose to make this a family project and assemble the Menorah on your own. We will provide you with all the materials needed and complete instructions. It will be a great way to get the kids involved!

The Menorah car parade will take palace on the 4th night of Chanukah, Sunday, December 13th. It will start at 1941 Yonge St. (Millwood corner) where we will decorate our cars with Chanukah messages using window markers. Each family will receive a party bag for you to create a festive Chanukah spirit in your car as we all drive along.

The parade will make its way through the neighbourhood with music and Chanukah spirit. We’ll be passing The Dunfield Retirement home and wishing them a Happy Chanukah from our cars. The parade will run for approximately 25 minutes and will then return to the parking lot where the drive-in Menorah lighting ceremony will take place.

There will be the option to order a pie of Pizza for dinner for your family, for the short time in between the parade and the Menorah lighting ceremony.

The Menorah Lighting Ceremony will be a drive-in event. Participants can choose to remain in their car or stand/sit right outside their car or in their open trunk. Joyous Chanukah music with the Horah Machine Band, a fire show, and doughnuts for every car is just some of what’s in store for our safe, socially distant, Chanukah outdoor Menorah lighting.

Due to the current participant limit, RSVP for the Menorah Car Parade and/or the Menorah lighting ceremony is required. Please RSVP as soon as possible to insure your spot/s.

City of Toronto COVID-19 policies will be kept. Your safety is our priority.
